H1B visa lottery rejected, what I do now

H1B Visa Lottery Rejected what I do now ?

hey friends my name is incacha dari and welcome to my youtube channel so today I'm going to talk to you about how to stay in America even after your h-1b is not accepted for the first three attempts and so really if you don't get accepted with uh-1b you really have very little options if you want to stay in America so I know a lot of people are choosing to go to Canada where it's it's a little bit different process maybe I'll make a different video on that because I have couple of friends who have moved to Canada but today I'm going to talk to you about how to really stay in America and because that was what my goal was I was I knew I wanted to stay in America I came here and that was my goal I came here to stay I was not leaving no matter what so but you want to do it the right way and what is the right way to do it so this is what happened with me I'll give you a little bit of background on what I did and what happened to me so you may be able to relate to my story. I actually did my undergrad in the U.S. I came in the fall of 2011; it took me five years to finish my undergrad, and I did my undergrad in civil engineering after finishing my undergrad. I got a job in engineering and I worked for a year in construction and then but my company was not able to sponsor me because they had never done something like that so I had to change a company and then I found another company who when I worked for a year they said they'll do much won't be but a month before they let me go because they were not able to figure out the paperwork the lawyers and they found out it's gonna be really costly but they give me some other reason that they can't sponsor me and so instead of telling me they can't sponsor need to give me something else but it's okay so after finishing two years I actually lost two attempts I only had one attempt left so I made a decision to go into a bigger company and I found a job fortunately a big company and I started working downtown Detroit and so my this company actually applied for my h-1b and this was my third and my last attempt and unfortunately I did not get accepted and that was in June of last year so June of 2019 I found out that I was actually not going to be able to continue working at my company because my opt was expiring so that was the third year so this is what happened my opt was expiring in August around mid-august and I wanted to find a way to stay in America and continue working because like my case is a little bit different because I'm undergrad but most people who come to America are actually masters in my opinion I think about 80 percent of people who come to us are actually four masters and very few people come for undergrad the numbers are still changing today but this is what I would suggest and this is what I did so what what I did is I found I talked a few people and I found out there are a few universities in the u.s. that actually allows you to start day one CPT that means you start going to the school and you allow to get your permission to work starting your day one so mid-august is when my opt ended and I found out this University and I was able to take admission and so I started my admission there and on literally I started my school on 24th August and they gave me the permission to work starting 24 now there are three universities which I know of personally where I have I either know of friends who are studying there or people who have studied there so first one is Harrisburg University of Science and Technology that is located in Pennsylvania Ohio, Pennsylvania, and so depending upon where you are in the U.S., there are students who come to my school, so that's where I study, and there are students who come from California. Florida, New York, is everywhere in the country, and so the thing is with this school, and there are a couple of other schools. For example, I have a friend who studies at the  University of Cumberlands, and that's somewhere located in Kentucky. Then there is another university called Stratford University located in Virginia, so I have friends who are studying there, and they have a similar pattern where you can start your CPT on day one. Now, how does the school really work? So you are at my school, for example. I'll tell you I take two classes per semester. My semester is usually about four months long, about 14 weeks, but in the semester I have to go to campus for classes at least once a month, so I'm just generalizing that. So in a semester I go to my school three times, so that is basically the first day of the school when it's got started. So for example, I'll give you this is what happened in August when I got started. So my first weekend was August 27 and 28 or something like that. It's always a Friday or a Saturday. The classes are always on a Saturday. I'm sorry the classes are always on a Saturday, so you can actually fly on Friday evening or Saturday morning and attend a class, so your classes are usually from 1:00 to 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and there's a second class from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. now you can choose actually one of these classes so if 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. works for you you can choose that or if 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. works for you you can choose that so that's how I did so I went to the university three times in my first semester I went in August once I believe I went in October once and november once so that's three times I went to the University I did really good in my first semester you have to get used to the online coaching program online training how to take classes but you should be able to figure out and I was able to continue working at my company while doing this so this is how one way I know of how you can stay in America even after completing or not accepting your h-1b so the way it really works is so you have to continue going to the school in order for you to maintain your CPT so because I'm an undergrad and this is my first master's I'm only going to take one year of CPT but if you are master student so what you can do is over the entire period of your master's which is two years six semesters because most people take two classes per semester and so that's 12 credits so you need 12 credits to finish your masters so the one of the best programs I will recommend is Masters of Science in project management so this will give you two years of CPT while you are doing your second master's so with that what you can do you get two more chances to apply for your h-1b so if your company is willing to support you through this that is fantastic that's what my company did so what happened this year is I continued working with my company through my CPT I took one year of CPT from end of August to 2019 to end of August to 2020 and this year I applied for my h-1b again and fortunately might join B was accepted so this was you can say my fourth attempt after completing my first degree but that's how you can actually do for yourself figure out a way this is one of the best ways in my opinion because this allows you to stay in US this is a legal way you are studying your going on campus classes and not only that you're able to go to your work so you keep making money now the cost of education usually comes about five thousand to five thousand five hundred per semester and you'll be taking you'll be flying once a month so I would I would say maybe five hundred dollars of cost per month but I'm sure if you're working you will be able to afford that but if you're not working and you are trying to figure it out it will be much harder so I think that's pretty much what I wanted to tell you and if you have any questions leave up leave a comment and give a like to the video and I will appreciate if you can subscribe because if you like the YouTube algorithm actually supports this video and shows it to other people also and I appreciate your time thank you for listening to me and I'll get back to you next time bye
